Breaking the Cycle of Stigma – One Conversation at a Time

Hi, I’m Lisa, the founder of The Prebble Patch—a place where periods are simple, stigma-free, and easy to understand. As a mum, nurse, and menstrual health advocate, I know firsthand how important it is to talk openly about periods, hormones, and cycle care. But growing up, these conversations didn’t always happen.

I was raised by my dad, alongside my sisters and brother, and while he did his best, periods were mostly referred to as “the monthly”. There were no deep conversations, no open discussions—just quiet assumptions that we’d figure it out on our own. Like many, I pieced together information from magazines, friends, and trial and error.

Fast forward to today, and I’ve learned so much about how our cycles impact our mood, energy, confidence, and well-being. I want to make sure no one has to go through the same uncertainty I did. That’s why The Prebble Patch was born.

📖 What We Do

At The Prebble Patch, we create:

✅ Books & guides for girls, women, and even men—because everyone should understand periods.

✅ Educational content to help people navigate their cycle with confidence.

✅ Small-batch handmade pieces including tote bags, book sleeves, organisational accessories, and baby items.

📚 Our Books & Resources

We believe that period education shouldn’t be awkward—it should be empowering. That’s why we created:

📕 Coming soon! – A guide for girls & women to understand their periods, hormones, and cycle care.

📘 Coming Soon!– A casual, judgment-free guide for boys, dads, brothers & partners to learn about menstruation and how to be supportive.

👜 Our Products – Period Support, Simplified

Periods happen—so why not be prepared?

The Prebble Patch also creates:

🧵 Handmade Small-Batch Creations

In addition to period products, I also occasionally create handmade pieces in small batches, including:

✨ These items are made in limited runs, so keep an eye out for new drops!

💡 Why It Matters

Menstrual education isn’t just about knowing when your period is due—it’s about understanding your body, your hormones, and how they affect your daily life.

At The Prebble Patch, we want to break the stigma, normalize the conversation, and empower people with knowledge.
